This 'n' That, December 16th....

Biden's Jis Plain Stoopid     We all remember "Mayor pete," right? I sure as hell do, he impressed me as a lil' twurp with nota helluva lot to say of import.  Now "the big guy" is proving himself dumb enough to appoint lil' petie to the head of the Department of Transportation.     That will put petie incharge of all things airplane, all things trucks, all things highways; all things ocean-going; amongst many, many other things.  Yrs ago, I was a truck driver-in fact I even owned my own tractor [the 'truck' part]-so I kinda know abit from which I speak.     Someone of the LOI crowd is likely to ask lil' petie..... "What's the biggest problem facing the truck driver today?" He's likely to say something to the affect; "The trucks are too fast; or, the trucks are too heavy; or the trucks are always in the way......"  Not so!!  The greatest problem-nationwide-is TRUCK PARKING!!  I left over-the-road freight relocati...

How About Some Investin' The Way I Do It?     Well, we got'a start with some important facts: 1. First of all this is no suggestion for any investments or any methods for procuring said vestments, merely a lil' story about how I do my vestin'...... 2. Let's go to investopedia.com  for a definition: a stock's 'ex-dividend date:  There are four dates to know when it comes to companies' dividends. These are the declaration date,  the ex-dividend date, the record-date , and the payable date. To receive the upcoming dividend, shareholders must have bought the stock before the ex-dividend date. On the ex-dividend date, stock prices typically decline by the amount of the dividend. When I go onto thestreet.com I'm looking for ex-dates out far enough that I can research into the stock to insure I like it [the industry, the product, etc], I can afford to invest in shares in multiples of 100, that the stock IS NOT based in China.  When I find such a stock I t...

What'ta Fcuk, Chuck!!   Where the hell do they find these idiots?  No I don't mean the candidates- tho' they're bad enough themselves -I mean the tv ad composers. I'm sitting here on my comfortable couch watching the Greenbay vs Tampa Bay Bucs and here comes an ad: a dude in military camos suggesting that president Trump had called those serving as losers and another derogatory insult.  Then an announcer explained that Biden's son had served in the Navy and showed the two Bidens hugging as if in a congratulatory fashion!  What a load'a'shit that was! Nowhere was it mendioned that the younger Biden was tossed out'a the Navy on his ass  with a 'bad-conduct' discharge for being a heron/cocaine addict!! Oh, by the way, it ain't lookin' real good for the "Meat-Packers!" That's all I got for now... Justin Case

This 'n' That; November 26th: Mistaken Value

One General's "Cash Value:"    I ran across an article in Military Times  recently involving the annual pay of the current Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.  In it~ and I'm paraphrasing, here ~was a conversation between President Trump and his White House Chief of Staff [and former General, USMC], John Kelly : Mr Kelly : "[as General Joseph Dunsford appears on the TV screen:] Hey Boss, there's the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff... what'ya 'spose he makes a year?" Mr Trump : "Well Skippy, if I had'ta guess, I'd say $5,000,000 a year..."     As you can see, President Trump is quite out of touch with the current military pay scales.  As well he should be, he's never dealt with folks with so much responsibility that are paid so little.  The aforementioned chairmanship could likely be compared to the CEO of a MULTI-BILLION dollar, multi-national corporation.  How many said CEOs would settle for what the Chairman, JCS...

Courage...?!? What Courage??     " Clown Prince " obama has received yet another~ soon to be ~worthless accolade, the ' Profiles In Courage ' award.  With his receipt the award's credibility has been reduced to that of a little league [ insert sport here ] participation trophy.  For reference, please consider the lowered status of the Nobel Peace Prize since the 2009 obama award for whence he only had TO THINK ABOUT global peace.     obama 's participation award was for such courageous acts as  1.  the [ LESS-THAN ] Affordable Care Act also known as obama K are; 2.  his nuclear~ give-away ~deal with the Islamic-muslim-Terrorist State of Iran ; 3.  resumption of the United States ' diplomatic relations with the communist Nation of Cuba .     WHEW-E-E-E!!  Talk about courage.... This clown's got it !!  Just a few items The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation could have considered for,~ and in so doing, re...

Should The U.S.  Boost  Military Numbers In Europe? I vote yes! Most of us should remember Ronaldus-Magnus and his instantly famous phrase: " Mister Gorbachev , tear down this wall ,"  from the Brandenburg Gate,  Berlin, FRG. That was the beginning of the end of the 'Cold War' and it's military manning requirements, primarily in Europe. 1970 Jeep M-151A2 In 1954 ~ near the beginning of the 'Cold War '~Army manpower stood at 1,404,600-worldwide; Air Force manpower was 948,000; Navy manpower was 725,700; the Marine Corps manpower was 223,800.  The 1954 total uniformed military forces stood at 3,302,100, with a considerable percentage stationed in Europe.
